The Division of Information Technology is committed to addressing technology insecurity among students. In response, we have launched the Student Laptop Loaner Program to raise awareness and provide resources for students facing challenges in accessing reliable computing devices.

This initiative aims to ensure all students have the tools to succeed academically in a digital learning environment. We encourage students to submit a request for a loaner laptop using the designated form.

This process ensures that we can create a formal record and verify eligibility, allowing us to arrange for the device pick-up efficiently.

The steps are as follows: 

1. The Student submits the loaner laptop request form.
2. The Division of Information Technology reviews the request.
3. Once the request is reviewed, and eligibility is determined, the Student will be notified to schedule a device pick-up.

The program is designed to assist students who may not have access to a personal computing device. Requests will be evaluated based on demonstrated need, and students are encouraged to provide any relevant information to support their application, as well as a reference from a Bowie State University faculty member.  

All loaner devices must be returned at the end of an academic term.

Requests for extensions may be considered.
